Those woodpeckers are going to be pissed.

But I could never do that.

Granted I've only gone up around 100 feet, but it's terrifying/freeing at the same time. Once you get up there and hook into whatever safety/bolts they have, it's so crazy to just hang. I don't know how these guys do it, but cleaning an anchor while rock climbing is one of the most terrifying things the first couple of times.

You think that's some shite, check out videos from the 70's about an Englishman named Fred Dibnah and his years of laddering brick chimneys and attaching scaffolding hundreds of feet in the air working from a Bosun's Chair.

Way before OSHA type regulations were in effect and doing all this high stuff without any safety equipment.

I hate heights, but I would rather do that than be on my roof TBH

I have a very odd fear of heights. If I have something I can grab with my hands, doesn’t bother me too much

Same with me. I'd rather climb the tower than stand on top of a 12 ft. ladder

In theory it's no different than a stepladder if your climbing rig is in good order.

In theory, an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake is just another snake.

My dad once handled a case where a guy fell off one of those types of towers. Hit a guy wire on the way down and lost a limb. Not an ideal way to go.

Just imagine if that tower were to fall over with you on top, how long you would have to anticipate hitting the ground while not being able to do anything to stop it.

I can climb a vertical rock face no problem but a narrow trail with a steep drop on one side freaks me right the frick out.

There’s a big tower down river my friend and I climbed, has to be close to 1000’. Scary shite up top.

If it is one by Hwy 20 in Vacherie that one is 1,999 feet tall.

If the Intelligent Designer had meant for us to do that, He would have given some of us a daredevil gene. Oh, wait, He did.

Hope you take two or three of every part you take up there. Could you imagine like taking off a bolt and dropping it with no replacement? Just a "well frick me" look on your face??
