The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southeastern Webster Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
Southwestern Claiborne Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
Bienville Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
Southwestern Lincoln Parish in north central Louisiana...

* Until 1100 PM CDT.

* At 957 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Eastwood, or
10 miles northeast of Bossier City, moving southeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage
. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
Minden, Arcadia, Ringgold, Sibley, Gibsland, Doyline, Dubberly,
Dixie Inn, Heflin, Simsboro, Lucky, Castor, Athens, Bienville,
Jamestown, Bryceland, Mount Lebanon, Brice, Plum Orchard Landing
and Mount Zion.

NWS Lake Charles confirmed 8 tornadoes in their area by that lone supercell that crossed from Texas to Mississippi

There was a piece on my front porch as big as an egg. Av was golf ball to Raquet ball sized. I’m thankful it only lasted about a minute or so. New roof, sky lights, truck paint, biggest damned hail I’ve ever seen.
