...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 AM CDT FOR SOUTHERN
ST. HELENA...NORTHWESTERN LIVINGSTON...SOUTHEASTERN EAST FELICIANA
AND NORTHEASTERN EAST BATON ROUGE PARISHES...

At 822 AM CDT, a severe squall line capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located along a
line extending from 6 miles northwest of Montpelier to near Pride to
near Brownfields, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.


SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include...
Zachary, Baker, Greensburg, Montpelier, Pride, Merrydale, Watson,
Brownfields and Greenwell Spring.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile
home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and
protect yourself from flying debris.

This line of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the
tornado. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest
floor of a building.

Electrical went out for 10 minutes in Denham off Vincent. Surprised it’s back on. Well done Demco. Just heavy rains and lightning so far. Winds are not to bad yet.
