...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN WALTHALL COUNTY...

At 712 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Dexter, or 7
miles northwest of Sandy Hook, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and golf ball size hail.

SOURCE...Emergency management confirmed tornado.


IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Walthall County.

There are reports of damage in Walthall with numerous trees down and
on houses.

Tornado warning just expired in Amite County Ms. It’s still pouring but hope that’s the extent of it. We’ve had a few tornadoes up this way in the last few months.

Currently sitn n closet, no power. Sounds like hurricane outside. Confirmed tornado on ground 5 miles from me. Live just outside of columbia

Stay sheltered, this is a large one. Very tight rotation. Are you south of Columbia?
