Gotcha. I'm not from here, just stationed here.

The northern two have been warned...

Tallahassee really needs some other storms to develop to maybe disrupt the potential inflow for those cells coming off the Gulf. This could be really bad for them.

Good radar reading slackster. You're getting pretty good at seeing this stuff.
A RadarScope purchase on a MacBook Pro and a few YouTube videos do wonders. I can't tell you much about whether or not to expect severe weather a day out, but to a very basic extent I can read a radar map.

The "middle" of the three storms looks to have a tornado...

That's a nasty looking couplet. Almost certainly on the ground and strong.
That sounding from Tallahassee is scary. Doesn't look good for then as those cells progress into the area.

Any chasers streaming? That looks like a potential very strong tornado.

Not sure.
The warning to the NE of Dothan, AL is pretty ridiculous too...

I live dead smack in between Dothan and Mexico City Beach, currently dry but crazy winds. Looks like a few more hours of juggling between the Storm app, this thread, and watching the trees bend out the windows.

This is looking like a worst case scenario... Ugh

think they just said tornado on the ground with fatalities somewhere in GA on the storm chaser scanner traffic
Posted on 1/22/17 at 1:31 pm to slackster
The town of Haleburg appears to be in the direct path (hopefully it misses them just to the south). There are only 100 people there so hopefully they all have safe shelter.

That last wind velocity map is a tad terrifying. Like a mini eye in the last frame. That has to be a big tornado

Chaser saying they already surpassed last year's death toll due to tornados

Waterspout about to come onshore. Heading toward Eastshore.
Rotation generally increasing as the line comes onshore per Tallahassee radar.
