If you're in the Albany, GA area you should take precaution now. This is ~30 minutes out.

If that tornado was on the ground, it is currently right on top of Auburn.

The AU campus in just SE of the town itself as shown on map. Whatever there is must have passed pretty close to campus.

Thanks for the clarification. I was looking at an older printed atlas. I should just stick with google maps.

Yeah came pretty close to the trailer parks, that would be disastrous because students probably sit tight during these storms, young and invincible. Nothing touched down though

It looks like convection from the south keeps cutting off the inflow for the severe thunderstorm headed toward Albany.

* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Lee County in southwestern Georgia...
North central Baker County in southwestern Georgia...
West central Turner County in south central Georgia...
Northwestern Worth County in south central Georgia...
Dougherty County in southwestern Georgia...

* Until 345 PM EST

* At 315 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 9 miles north of Newton, moving northeast at 70 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
East Albany around 325 PM EST.
Albany and Turner City around 330 PM EST.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Forrester, Oakfield, Red Rock, Doles, Acree, Walker, Pecan City,

South parts of Albany are almost assuredly going to be hit by a tornado in the next 10 minutes.
