The weirdest feeling was leaving the hospital with the first one. It felt like I was doing something illegal, because I felt like there is no way I'm prepared to take care of it. I remember thinking, does this hospital understand that they're letting me drive home with this baby and I have NO idea what to do next?

" Frick". I was young and not married and no where near ready to be a father . A lot of mistakes were made that I wish I could take back.

Rally is a surreal feeling. Also, tat ride home was the most defensively I've ever driven in my life. Every other car on the road scared me.

Longest 3 mile drive of my life

We weren't trying but we knew it was a possibility. We were watching some stupid show and the wife started balling her eyes out- I ran to CVS got a test and made her take it. I was pretty shocked/nervous/excited.

Sentiments on having to wait to tell people that sucked. We were going out on the boat the next day so she sipped on a water in a tumbler and claimed it was a "drink" so not to tip anyone off.

PS Sick humble brag on the sex.

Step 1 is adjusting to having a pregnant wife.

Expect her to have wildly different cravings. There is going to be at least 1 food that she loves now, that will make her sick during pregnancy, that she will never want to eat again (for my wife it is shrimp)

Also...prepare yourself for the horniness

Oh yeah after the morning sickness wears off you get about 3 to 4 months of horniness, but you get into 8 and 9 months, the logistics makes it a little tougher but you can make it work.

All this stuff coming up is fairly easy, besides getting the nursery put together. I also did all the remodel stuff in our home that I had planned on but never got around to while I still had free time . But outside of that, hopefully you'll have an uneventful pregnancy like we did.

The real step one for us was the first night that your child is alive. Apparently the new thing is to let the parents deal with everything and only call the nurses if there is an emergency. I got maybe 3 hours of sleep those first two nights in the hospital But you learn quickly.

I remember thinking, as I was awkardly bending over in the hospital parking lot, trying to figure out how to put this baby in the seat someone gave us at a shower, they're gonna come take this baby away from me. Take it back to the nursery and give me a few more days to figure shite out. Felt like everyone was watching me.

When you found out you were going to be a father what was your reaction

Pure confusion for a second. Wife put a hamburger bun in the oven and put the oven light on for me to notice ("bun in the oven"). Maid had come that day. I was really late from work. I see the light on immediately and see food in there. I had brought food home, so immediately my mind goes to "the damned maid is eating cooking our food in the house". Wife walked in and called me an idiot and it took a minute or two to figure out why. Extremely happy when I figured it out.

Second time was as in a birthday gift and wasn't expecting it at all. That one left me stunned a speechless thinking about money and everything involved . We ended up with a miscarriage there and ever since, it's completely nervous feeling regarding that. You are ready to be happy, but scarred shitless the whole time.

Yeah, sex with the wife at 7-9 months pregnant was the closest I ever got to sex with a stranger since before we were dating. It was surprisingly exciting. The angles were all different, boobs were plump and she was snug tight!
