The recent Merit Landry saga was a complete travesty and people should be fired and sued for how it was handled. There's a strong toxic element in Nola that holds the city down.

Fox, nobody ran off the US atty. He had an obligation to run his office in a professional manner, he failed to do so, and he resigned.

Also, if you think the politicians in NOLA are bad now you are clearly unaware of the city's history!

I just looked that up what a crock. I love how the government is demanding quotas.

The NFL is sure going to blow when they start having to have rosters that are proportional to the makeup of the general population.

Welcome to this century Captain Obvious.

But I'm not so sure no open carry is state-wide

Just off the top of my head, Austin doesn't have:

Saints games
Pelicans games
Super Bowl
NBA All-Star game
NCAA men and women Final 4
Great seafood
1 hour from LSU games

You're right, it was merely three people shot in broad daylight but no one has died, at least not yet.

Sorry for exaggerating so much.

yeah that's not what happened. He had a subordinate attorney busted for running her mouth off online, then another one (both females; figures) come in and cop to it to him when the story hit, He denied, and was very brief, that he didn't know anything about any of his subordinates engaging in this behavior. So he fricked up protecting one of his attorneys, who then ratted him out. So a moment of bad judgment, not really scandal worthy on his end...and he resigned under immense pressure, after initially planning to stay on. The work he did had NEVER been done before and he was making a huge difference. Not really big time scandal worthy anywhere especially in NOLA. The status quo wanted him out badly. Your public servants were desperate to see this guy go because they all left a trail, and he was thorough and uncovering everything from way back to the present.

The one public servant actually making a difference and as you might imagine, he had to go

essentially, his subordinate fricked up, and people took this opportunity to turn up the heat and get him out before they went to prison.

Before I go on too much i have an honest question, are you stupid? Because:

16. Culture - oh yeah, beats NOLA in spades. Old west/Mexico in a modern first world society.

So based on that my only question is...huh?

Austin = no pro sports team

I guess their pro team equivalent is UT, which is even more laughable.

The Saints games I'm going to miss. it is a $100 direct flight to NOLA and don't forget Yulman stadium

quote:

super bowl

when the lights...go out...in the citay. How unfortunate. I did call entergy to report a power outage though. Personally, it is a huge fricking inconvenience when the saints aren't in it.

NBA All-Star game

I think I'll manage just fine.

Great seafood

with the exception of oysters, I fricking hate seafood; especially crustaceans.

hour from LSU games

I know, it is wonderful

now did you just do that to be inclusive?

Pelicans games

Yeah, the pelicans games were fun, but I didn't go incredibly often and it was a hassle either due to having to go downtown, the timing, or both. But NBA basketball is like hockey. it bores me to death on TV, and is exciting live. However, the NBA thinks unpopular speech is worse than serious violence so I will never watch again anyway.

I know right, I'm totally not the guy you'd take to go shopping for flat brim ULL hats, or sweet kicks, or however you are disappointing your parents these days.

It's no coincidence that Lafayette is growing so fast as it's probably our only city ran somewhat as well as the Texas cities.

NOLA's only hope is gentrification. The crime is never going to end, it's an endless cycle. Same for the schools. Doesn't matter how nice the new school is or how smart the Teach For America teacher is when the kids are going to fricked up homes after school. It's just all really hopeless. Same can be said for a lot of cities nowadays.
