My frame of reference is this... NOLA sucks almost at everything

I tend not to put too much thought into insignificant things while in my car on my cell phone waiting for DPS to open

And I am being a tad harsh, NOLA overdose.

Exactly. What an asinine assertion.

When's the last time you've been to Texas? They got rid of night speed limits a long time ago.

Dat 85 mph speed limit.

As much as I love Austin, I'm starting to dislike it. There's too many damn California transplants here now wanting to bring their shitty culture and views with them. South Austin is a shite hole because of all the trendy liberals. I can't stand downtown now because of the insane hipster scene.
I stay west of town near the lakes and I'm happy. If I have to venture downtown, I'll dig up any excuse I can to avoid it.

I don't know why people leave a state that sucks, and then proceed to vote for the same things that resulted in them leaving in their new home.

Colorado...we miss you.

And I was thinking to myself, gee, I sure will miss Fox Mulder's daily (hourly?) "I hate New Orleans" threads after he moves. Glad to see you'll be keeping up the tradition even in exile.

This would be my first "frick NOLA" thread. I'm not 100% certain. What can I say, I'm still suffering from NOLA fatigue. By fall, I'll be over it and can enjoy myself when I go back. It really is true; great to visit, but not to live.

Then what's the point of even being near Austin? If you loathe downtown and going there, why not move to a remote location farther out from the city?

and very recently would I admit to "bashing"

other threads, that I merely participated in, were just pointing out problems that exist. That came from a desire to see it improve and thrive. That's another reason I got the frick out. Nothing gets fixed when the local population is too proud to admit there are some very serious issues in need of attention.

I was hesitant to leave for s little minute once it was set in stone, but then the crooked arse NOLA politicians functionally ran off a dedicated us attorney who was bringing change by putting the Benjamin Edwards, ray nagins, bill jeffersons on notice, that the law will be upheld. Oh shite, this guy is standing in the way of us robbing this place blind...he's gotta go. Seriously, resigned my fricking arse...they pressured him out. I wouldn't be shocked if they had PIs desperately trying to dig up dirt. The "leadership" in NOLA will have a legitimate and well run city...over their dead bodies. That was when I was 100% sure I was fricking sick of NOLA.

we are bashing, but none of this is untrue. They'll figure it out when everyone is on the cheese except the 8th generation bra elites and the tiny strides they've made are erased within the next 2 decades.

Have you ever heard of a mayor going on TV and begging/thanking people for turning murderers in; what about taking credit for reduced crime (a one year anomaly mind you)via better treatment of gun shot wounds? How many police departments require federal supervision?

I'm done, gotta go. It's been fun.

Best thing about Austin is the saltwater fishing.
