Hopefully after the tragedy yesterday in Butler PA we can all recognize that unaccountable bloated bureaucracies continue to fail us as Americans.

Donald J Trump is alive today solely due to a bad wind estimate by an evil would be assasin.
As the graphics show the full value wind of just 5mph was enough to displace the unconfirmed but likely light 55 grain bullet two inches from DJT's intended forehead to his ear.
DJT was not saved by USSS brilliance. The fact that USSS allowed a rifle armed shooter within 150yds to a preplanned event is either malice or massive incompetence. Clearly there was adequate uncontrolled dead space for a shooter to move into position and take multiple aimed shots. Watching the newsreel one can hear how proximate the shooter is by the very short time lapse between the crack of arriving bullet (supersonic) to the boom of muzzle blast (sonic).

The law enforcement sniper (unclear if USSS) in newsreels was clearly overwhelmed as his face came off his rifle instead of doing his job to kill the shooter. Clearly they were watching the shooter but apparently have a no "first shot" policy. The only positive action was an apparent 488yd shot by one USSS sniper which despatched the assasin but after the assassin launched at least 5 rounds, wounding DJT and killing and severely others in the crowd.

In my old business of providing Diplomatic Security in two active war zones we were expected to execute the basics or we would be fired. Clearly USSS failed at the basics of a secure perimeter and once shots were fired their extraction was clumsy and left DJT highly exposed to follow on attacks. It looked like they had never drilled together because those responses should be effectively autonomic. Will there be accountability? That's not the Washington way.

Unserious and unworthy people in positions of authority got us to this near disaster. Merit and execution must be the only deciding factors in hiring and leadership, not the social engineering priority of the day. Sadly nothing in Washington reflects that any longer. DJT is right to question the competence of those protecting him because yesterday they failed in almost every way. Nature abhors a vacuum and there are always other options.
Most importantly, as Americans let's come together and run a proper valid election so we can get back to what matters a merit based society that judges on character and skill. Nothing else.

Sounds like the kill shot came from another location and not from behind the stage

Remind me again how Trump compares to Hitler?
He doesn’t

But the left has said he is Hitler and a threat to the entire nation and our freedom. You can’t logically say that and then also condemn the person that tries to save the country from that threat that you claimed existed

For memory jogging

I was assuming there were people outside the rally area that saw him. Like around the buildings

I have a more basic question. How did he get on the roof?

Using that ladder in the pic I posted above

Which brings up an interesting point: you don't even need to guard/secure the whole building, just the ladder(s) that can be used to get to the roof. If you see a damn dude with a rifle slung over his shoulder trying to get to the ladder......shoot him. It ain't rocket surgery.

Apologies I should have added to disregard the circled part of the aerial pic I found & pointed out the body and rifle

What am I believing? Guessing you have broke through the wall and seen through and found the root of the conspiracy. Incredible, you should bring them to justice.

Novice question: 130 yards is not difficult for a civilian?

I can easily hit a head shot on a target at 25 yds with a handgun.

130 yds with a rifle is NOTHING. Any decent hunter or anyone with a tiny amount of training could hit a shot like that.

Nah, it's been clear for a long time. There are quite a lot of folks who weren't surprised one bit about what happened yesterday. Politicians and even posters here knew that once Biden had his nightmare debate and leftists realized that Trump was going to win the election, they would resort to violence because it was the only option they had left.

Now I am curious if that is not a law enforcement ladder near the front after seeing Erik's post

Where did we go wrong in society? Used to be, the weird nerdy kids who got picked on in high school went to college, got a great job and then married a trophy wife. Now these kids become school shooters.

A lot of them dropped out instead of getting bullied all the time and became nobodies.

Bow this isn’t true at all. If it is we would all be taking head shots at deer but we don’t. A head shot from 130 is moderately difficult. Definitely not expert level but it isn’t easy either

But if his object was to kill him aiming at center chest would be extremely easy.

Now if it was truly deep state finding someone to hit a head shot would be extremely easy. An actual shooter it would be a chip shot

He knew Trump was wearing a bullet proof vest so headshot is really all or nothing

Not a dumb question at all as we have all been speculating

According to Erik Prince tweet which I have posted above he says that the kill shot came from a distance of 488yds
That would mean the kill shot came from somewhere else and not from behind the stage

A high school cheer squad would have that on lock.

Yea that take is retarded. A regular civilian with moderate experience shooting a rifle is gonna have a hard time hitting a 130yd headshot through iron sights on the very first try. Never mind the fact taking this shot against a former president. I’m surprised the kid hit him at all.
