From the link

quote:

but two city-parish officials say he wants to appoint outgoing first Assistant Parish Attorney Tedrick Knightshead to the position.

quote:

Knightshead submitted his resignation in November, which takes effect Jan. 31.

quote:

The emails, in which recipients are redacted, also discuss the reasons for Knightshead’s resignation, which stem from his unwillingness to adhere to office policies implemented in 2016.

quote:

Among the issues raised was the need for a policy regarding attorneys handling private practice cases that could create conflicts of interest, and staff attorneys not working full-time schedules. Office policies were revised in 2016, prohibiting such conflicts and requiring staff to track work hours.

quote:

Knightshead initially offered to resign in October, saying he did not want to track work hours, according to the emails. Batson, in response, waived the rule for division heads so that Knightshead would stay.

quote:

In November, Batson discovered Knightshead was representing criminal defendants arrested by Baton Rouge Police in his private practice, violating the new office policy. Staff attorneys are prohibited from handling cases in which BRPD is the arresting agency, because the Parish Attorney’s Office represents the city-parish agencies, including the police department in lawsuits and other matters.

quote:

The emails note, however, that the Louisiana Supreme Court has ruled it is not a conflict for city prosecutors to represent criminal defendants.

quote:

Knightshead said he would withdraw from the cases but did not, according to the emails. When Batson gave him a deadline to withdraw, he decided to submit his resignation in late November.

quote:

Two weeks later, the council administrator notified Batson of Cole’s agenda item to have her removed. The item is scheduled to be introduced at Wednesday’s meeting.

quote:

Councilwoman Chauna Banks says Cole told her he received several calls from office staff regarding conflict and mistreatment in the office, but did not mention wanting to appoint Knightshead as a replacement.

I may have to get this because of the development in my area even though I don't like the program.

This is exactly how they do the wings at Ivar’s. He must have had it there and decided to get them that way at Chimes. I wonder why he didn’t just go to Ivar’s for them?

FWIW, they are delicious that way.

I was fricking coming say my girlfriend had the wings this way last night at Ivars for the game. They are delicious. I always order mine normal(doused with Franks Red Hot) and end up eating a few of hers too. They're crispier and delicious.

And FWIW they are $5 on Wednesdays.

Hiring an outside legal firm at the tune of $17,500, to propagate “integrity”? Something clearly is not adding up.

It's just odd that the guy calling for her head won't even say why he's doing so and apparently hasn't even discussed the matter with the guy he wants to appoint to the position. I assume they just want a chocolate city staff top to bottom

It was just introduced tonight. It will be discussed in an executive session next week.

The storyline should be: Black Male councilman wants to fire white female parish attorney.

Lamonte Cole, Chauna Banks, Donna Collins Lewis, Erika Green...these councilwomen/men are some of the most racist people you will meet. EVERYGHING, they vote on is based on race. Someone needs to report on that and call these people out on their race agenda. To see them in action is appalling and a disgrace to all races. Its unbelievable!

I think this is exactly what they want. As Gary Chambers once stated, they want "black people to win." They apparently feel that since Baton Rouge is now majority black, the city government should be also.

Well, that's the thing. He doesn't want CP staff to be mostly black, he wants it to be all black. Hell, he thought he should have the right to replace Buddy Amorosa with whoever he deemed fit and completely disenfranchise an entire district.
