Have y'all tried the burger joints by LSU

Both Atomic Burger and Smalls Sliders are pretty damn good

Dunno if they are Southern though.

Both very good. Seasoned waffle fries at Smalls make the meal. Bacon Jamburger at Atomic is my favorite fast food burger in BR.

I think Smalls is the only location, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them expand in the next couple of years. I want to say the restaurant is kind of a proof of concept for the Walk-Ons company in using shipping containers for buildings.

The fried chicken sandwich at Atomic Burger is one of the best I’ve had as well.

Chick-a-dilly is the real GOAT of fried chicken. Just not many locations. Homer, Arcadia, Springhill, and Magnolia, Ark. The location in Haynesville caught fire and they never opened it back up. Instead opened a Southern Classic right across the street. Southern Classic is great, but it still can’t touch Chick-a-dilly.

Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia have now become the yankee south, they don’t count

Both Carolinas went red and are still definitely southern as you can get. People look at the Triangle and Charlotte and think that’s representative of NC as a whole. It’s like looking at Memphis and saying that’s what all of TN is like

Virginia, you have a point.

IDK exactly what counts as "fast food" vs. "fast casual" vs. some other in-between category, but I really like McAllister's Deli and Newk's.

If you have to go inside, place an order and wait 10 minutes for them to bring it to your table it’s not fast food in the south.

Just having locations in the south doesn't make them southern.

When I judge Tennessee I think of nashville. Which means Tennessee is a bunch of f*gs cosplaying as country singers

I mean, it was started in Baton Rouge.

I get that. But if nobody has heard of it outside of a few select areas, is it any different than me saying Carter's Fried Chicken is the best! (it is, by the way)

Next I think I’ll start a thread on chain restaurants. See what if he consensus there is.

Ya see I always enjoy the off the wall small type places... Linda’s in Watson makes some great chicken.... and unlike chain places they know that any money the company makes helps keeps the lights on per say..... but I will say this, that the chick-Gil- a in Denham springs is ALWAYS loaded with cars..., it’s basically amazing.....

You might be from Arkansas if you put Zaxby's as #1 on your list.
