How do you like Tenn, Ga, and NC, while at the same time disliking Missouri?

I changed it to New Jersey. I think California is probably ok but I think it's the people in Southern California that turn me off on the place.

The northern part of the state is gorgeous and the people are great.

People in Southern California? Sure LA and the entrainment industry is massively liberal but Orange County is conservative.

People are more materialistic but they also have the money to play with so why not?

I'll pass on that too. I'm not much of a beach person.

As it so happens, Grand Isle isn't much of a beach

California is a top tier state, but there is def a lot of bullshite that comes along with living here.

But when I can drive to the beach at Santa Barbara, ski at Lake Tahoe, visit San Francisco, San Diego, Death Valley, Yosemite National Park (where people fly from all over the world to visit), see Sequoias and Redwoods, or go wine tasting in one of the 10 or so wine regions...it's hard to dislike such an amazing place. I can drive to do in a weekend things that require taking a vacation and flying for those who don't live here.

I like you. You seem objective. Better mentality than most posters who even after seeing everything would scream that Lake Charles is better than Newport Beach because of the traffic.

Just general perception. Most people haven't lived in that many states. If you traveled there and had a good experience it's going to influence your perception.

Plus most states are big enough that you would have to visit several places to get a full picture.

Big difference between Philly and Pittsburgh, or Memphis and Knoxville, or Miami and Pensacola.

Just curious but why? I've really enjoyed living up here. Although, to be fair, there are many parts of the state I wouldn't want to be in, but I think that goes for pretty much every state.

I've only been to about half, but based on that:

Utah
Colorado
North Carolina
Arizona
Tennesse

Least favorite:

Mississippi
Kansas
Alabama
Missouri
Oklahoma or Kentucky I guess, though I am indifferent toward both really

Good list although I'm curious about Ohio. What part did you spend time in?

Cleveland blows but Columbus and Cincy are okay. People seem nice enough.

1)Cost of living (about the same as NY)
2)Massholes
3)Even more liberal than NY
4)Worse winters than NY

I'm at the edge of my comfort zone living in NYC, so Boston is way past the line for me.

Holy shite you baws hate liberals more than I could ever realize or don't like nice weather and outdoor activities

I wouldn't call states where it snows a-hole high to a giraffe nice weather states.
Nice weather states are places that you can go to the beach without having to put snowchains on your tires.

It was difficult in coming up with the least favorite list outside of New Jersey and Alabama. I don't think I have a passionate hate of any state in particular except those two.

There are parts of Pennsylvania that I hate but I don't necessarily hate Pennsylvania. Same with Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Mississippi.
