Sorry you are going through this. It's a very heavy burden to carry. It will be 2 years for my wife and me on March 11th. I really struggle this time of year.

My former neighbor went ashore in North Africa, Italy, the south of France, and Iwo Jima. He was a tough old bird who blessed me with some of his stories.
I only saw him tear up twice, once when he told of a fighter pilot making an emergency landing on Iwo with his plane on fire and how they were unable to get him out before he succumbed to the fire, and again when he buried his son.
No one should ever have to bury their child. Bless you.

Humans are not designed to bury their children and go on to maintain a normal psychological profile. I'm a relatively cold hearted a-hole, but I am sympathetic toward people who have lost a child.
I was 5 when my little sister died during or minutes after birth. Even though I was that young I can still remember the pain my parents went through. I could not imagine if they lost her after 10 years of knowing and loving her.
