We can't seem to find one that doesn't rattle like crazy.

Do any of y'all have recommendations here?

Seems like the ones we tried (Graco, Britax) rattle so much that they are distracting to both the driver and the kid in the seat. For the most part it seems to be the fairly cheaply constructed head rest mechanism.

Had both brands, didn't notice any rattle. Why not just jam a microfiber towel or something behind the offending headrest as a shim? Chances are you're going to end up needing it to wipe something up on the regular anyway.

sad how soft these little millenial kids are these days

In the 70s us boomers never had a car seat and we all turned out fine. Good job raising a snowflake

I seem to remember ours rattling from the level glass that was on the base. We popped it out and rattling stopped.

We have Nunas and Cleks and neither rattle.

The Nuna infant base rattled because of the support leg thing, but the convertibles are gtg.

The rattling in our Graco was from the belt that is supposed to go over the seat when you flip it forward facing. Just had to tighten that up and the rattling stopped.

We have Nuna and Britax and haven’t noticed a rattle. Could it be an installation issue or a defective seat on your end? Seems unlikely that an entire popular brand would have rattle issues.

This is what I was thinking it could be. Also, check if the anchor straps are clipped on something if you aren't using them. We use the seat belt to hold it down so I made sure the anchors were nice and tight because they were flopping around. But if it's a different type of rattle you just need to find out what's rattling. What car seat did you try?

Make sure that thing is in there tight. Once you think it's tight, put your knee in it and tighten it some more. If it still rattles try putting a pool noodle between the toddler seat and car seat. If you can't get it tight, take it to a State Police Troop and they'll do it for you. I've never had one rattle after installing it tightly.

This reminds me. Why do a lot of black people not use car seats? I was in a drive thru yesterday and it was a black lady with a kid in front of me. The kid looked at be.. I guess 2, on the early side of 2 and was in between the front seats just crawling around and not a car seat to be seen. And i've noticed that if you see someone that has a kid not in a toddler car seat, there is a good chance it will be a black person.
