Dude's a marked man despite that being self-defense.

Another thing I can share that isn’t in any report or video. The cops showed up, as you might expect. Then my attacker’s brother showed up not even 5 minutes after all the cops got there. He brought an assault rifle and it took five cops to restrain him.

It looks like he shot the guy in the back as he was running away. That might be an issue. The first shots were fine. But once the guy disengaged and was running away he shouldn't have shot. Unless the other guy had a gun as well.

This is why it is a mistake to assume a threat has ended just because someone is currently retreating. Even after killing the big guy, the threat was not over.

Having never shot a person, I can’t say how easy it is to just stop once the blood is up and you’re shooting

I was on a jury for a murder trial and self defense was a big part of it. The prosecutor went to great lengths to explain what is considered self defense with regards to an act of violence. It cleared up any misconceptions and confusion some of my fellow jurors might have had beforehand and made deliberation process go a lot smoother to agree on a verdict.
