All the racial and political bullshite aside.

I think back to when I was in high school and there were the inevitable stupid juvenile fist fights and bullying that came with being that age. NOT EVEN ONCE did the thought ever form in the back of my mind "I should stab this guy."

How does someone get that thought process at that age?

Seems like they had the money donated for private counsel but spent it on a house and an Escalade, no?

Prosecutors in court today:
quote:

“A lot of people have asked why Karmelo Anthony took a knife to a track meet?” “those reason were captured in our 404 motion”  The morning of the stabbing his ex girlfriend goes to an assistant principal saying she broke up with Karmelo and he was stalking her Anthony text message saying “i’m lowk on the verge” morning before stabbing and emphasized it He also threatened her with a knife in one message and told her in another "when I stab somebody I'm gonna lick their blood off the blade".

This is who people are defending

It’s interesting that hundreds of adults have a weekday off from work to hang out around a courthouse to protest in FAVOR of a teen who brought a knife to a high school track meet & stabbed another unarmed teen in cold blood & then ran off. George Soros & other NGO’s doing work.

Well it is your tax dollars that allow them them the freedom to be available every day that ends in Y. They probably got a catered lunch as well.

Not that big a deal. It's actually quite good.

The judge was not necessarily biased or say anything improper. It is the APPEARANCE or potential of impropriety or bias, so he is removed from hearing the motion for new trial out of caution. And then the defense will have absolutely nothing to hang their hat on in their motion for a new trial once it is imevitably denied, so we should WANT him removed.

forced Anthony not to testify

So he could plead the fifth amendment against self-incrimination?

Nobody, not even a lawyer can prevent a defendant from testifying. There is no "forced". Of course that allows the prosecution to ask questions.

I have known a Superior court judge for years. He feels his job has always been to judge on the legal precedents pre-trial through motions from the prosecution and the defense.

Then he said " After the decisions have been mitigated, I let the circus begin". "Sometimes, it becomes a theater of the absurd". The cast has learned their lines, the audience (jury) has been chosen...let the games begin".

I also knew a federal court judge through our gun/skeet/trap club. He was a liberal judge that ruled in school desegregation cases. He liked to tell a story of a defense attorney that objected every time the plaintiff stood to make an argument.

Boy, I like you, you seem smart, but if I have another objection from you, I'm going to have to penalize you".

That dumbass stood up said "I object".

He told the bailiff to cuff him. "Ten days in the county jail".

If you took the fanny pack off that bitch, I think the world's largest dolphin could jump through it.

First time I've ever seen a seat belt extender used on a fanny pack.

I'm all in favor of a retrial so the POS gets an even longer sentence.

He walks if he gets a new trial; there is no way they retry him without one sympathetic black on the jury. What would be funny is if he's retried, found guilty of first degree murder, and given a death sentence.

Can’t give him death because of his age at the time of the murder

It's fascinating that these social media mobs (protesters) closely resemble the lynch mobs they so love to cite. Both stood outside courthouses during trials to intimidate jurors and court officials and threatened violence if the outcome was not what they wanted.

History doesn't repeat, but it sure does rhyme.

Of course, the modern mob is there in pursuit of "justice" as they see it.

Nothing like the mobs of old, right?

What happens if they are granted a retrial and he gets sentenced to longer jail time or worse the death penalty? Who gets the blame then?
