And don't forget the strictest and longest covid mandates of any American city. We didn't get the mRNA shots so there was a time when we had to drive to Metairie to go out to eat because we didn't have the vax cards to get into a New Orleans restaurant. It felt like we were living in California.

Kudos to New Orleans businesses that survived during the height of COVID and way past it - when that POS had everything locked down. Over the top rules.

LOL. Happy to see Teedy gone and hope she goes to jail but don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.. C. Ray is still the only modern NOLA mayor who has gone to prison.

Maybe she will end up with the same gig as Marc Morial and become the President of the Urban League, or Teedy might even have a cabinet post in the next Democrat Administration if ever one rises to power.

In her arrogance, I think she really thought national Democrats would take care of her. Can't see that happening now. If she does not go to jail, she'll be living off her govt pension.

Yeah, a long tradition of ONE (Ray Nagin).
No other New Orleans mayor in history has ever gone to prison.
I'm from Old Metairie and crap on New Orleans governance (or lack thereof) all the time. But seriously, some of you people just talk out of your arse, make up crap and think you're being funny or cute.

True, but there are a few that clearly...had issues.
Morial was one that everyone knew something was going on but immediately got shielded politically because of his position following office

How could I forget that? LOL.
I wonder if she needed a Uhaul to move all "her" crap out of her city hall offices.

I don't think she has been to city hall in months.

JP parish president went to jail for several years and you won't hear a peep about the situation. Newell Normand should probably be in jail.

Don't forget the other JP President that liked to buy the boys some "fancy underwear" at Dillards after meeting at the mall.
He didn't end up being charged for it, but was banned from going to high school events throughout the parish.
He also had built his president's office to be modeled after George Bush's Oval Office and spent almost a 100k on it. He claimed he used his own funds for it.

No, you don't because justice was served and the people in Jeff Parish got some sense of satisfaction. That sumbitch Aaron Broussard was hated by most on the east bank because of his stupidity during Katrina that gave so many flooding, because of his not having the pump stations manned and operating (folks got "Broussard water"). He actually lost the east bank in his re-election campaign after Katrina, but wound up winning via support from those on the West Bank who didn't get "Broussard Water".

Was that the Kenner-brah mayor that was caught courting Jesuit students?
Kenner voters didn't even vote to recall him once they learned that.

It wouldn’t surprise me if she sabotages on the way out.

He had moved on from Kenner-brah mayor and was nearing the end of his first term as Jefferson Parish President at the time of his... indiscretions.
He wisely decided not to run for re-election after that mess. He had no support whatsoever in the Parish after that stuff came out.
He wasn't even a Yenni by name; his mom was a Yenni and his real last name was Maunoir. Changing it got him name recognition; his late grandfather was revered Parish President Joe Yenni, and his uncle Michael J. Yenni was also a well-respected Parish President who died in office at the age of 44 due to complications from a rare bone-marrow disease called myelofibrosis.
