Joseph had to deal with Jesus when he was a little shite. Never made a big deal about it. Good man.

St. Rita is a good one for that, too.
Thanks!
I've also been including St. Gemma and St. Cajetan.

Do you think he was around the age of Mary or more middle age…. ?
And why….

Mary was said to be 14-16 years old, which was the social and cultural norm at the time. Joseph may have been 18-22, which, again, holds with the norms at the time.
There is apocryphal text that says Joseph was around 90, but nothing proves this, and it was probably only put forth as a way to explain Mary’s chaste nature even after marriage.

The Nativity Story movie does a good job of acknowledging Joseph's faith and trust in God, as well as portraying him as a strong, noble man.

Mary didn't have a chaste nature after marriage.

Yep, a 90 year old is gonna walk his wife and baby to Egypt.
I love Mother Angelica’s quote on this:
“Old men don’t walk to Egypt!”

Your version of the Bible is wrong, so don’t start this shite.

You had me until you posted this from the Kelly Clarkston show. Figured her demonic arse would keep her from having a beautiful song like that on her show.

Yea his part is unappreciated, like all stepdads. It wouldn't have happened without him.

The most underrated person in the entire Bible IMO.

St. Joseph is also the “Terror of Demons.” Read up on (or listen to) some exorcism stories where he shows up.

I often pray to Saint Joseph when I need strength as a father. Lord knows I need it often
