The bill claims it is "documented the federal government or other entities acting on the federal government's behalf or at the federal government's request may conduct geoengineering experiments by intentionally dispersing chemicals into the atmosphere, and those activities may occur within the State of Tennessee," according to the bill.

UPDATE: Scientists Hid Chemtrail-Style Experiments from Public.

quote:

Last week, the Coastal Atmospheric Aerosol Research and Engagement — CAARE — project, led by researchers at the University of Washington, launched trillions of microscopic salt particles into the sky off the deck of the USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum in Alameda, California. The researchers aim to increase the density and reflective capacity of clouds to combat ‘climate change.’ They will continue to launch the particles, weather permitting, through the end of May.

The details of the experiment — and its existence — were largely kept hidden from the public because researchers feared “that critics would try to stop them,” reported The New York Times. According to a Scientific American report, the risks of such experiments are “numerous.” It warns that artificially creating cloud cover “could alter weather patterns in unclear ways and potentially limit the productivity of fisheries and farms.”

“History has shown us that when we insert ourselves into [the] modification of nature, there are always very serious unintended consequences,” warned Greg Goldsmith, associate dean for research and development at Chapman University.News of the experiment comes as Tennessee lawmakers moved to ban similar geoengineering efforts.

I miss having no state income tax though. Didn’t even have to file state taxes.

If it’s documented, why didn’t they reference their proof? This makes Republicans look stupid, but I’m sure Art Bell is smiling.

Eh... it's not that bad so long as you know where not to go.

And... we have literally one of the best hospitals in the world, Fed Ex, some of the best Barbecue in the country AND Jerry The King Lawler. What's not to love?

There was no documentation provided, per se, but one of the legislators did parade his gay son up to the podium and said he was not able to pray the gay away, so it must be the chemtrails' fault.

Thanks, TNGOP. Always tackling the important issues. What would I do without you?

I know that the national media has jumped all over this and dubbed it a "chemtrail" bill or ban, but that isn't really what it is, though it would effectively ban "chemtrails" as well.

This likely leans more towards cloud seeding and similar tech that is 100% confirmed to be in use in various states around the country, as well as in other countries. The bill doesn't contain the word "chemtrails", and the coverage it is getting is a bit disingenuous.

We don't know the longterm impacts of cloud seeding operations. Cloud seeding is real, and it works to create precip, but we don't know much at all about the longterm impacts it may have.

"Chemtrail Bill" sure does get the clicks, though.

I’m guessing all this cloud seeding is absolutely not contributing to global warming at all right.
