Good luck, I've had one for a damn week and still feel like I'm floating around. Tested negative for covid, strep and flu. Been on antibiotics since last Wednesday. I can breathe better, but damn my head feels cloudy as hell.

Apple cider vinegar and ginger root tea.

Yes sir. I'm convinced that stuff cures aids as well. Seems to solve everyone's problems.

Prevention: I take a daily allergy pill during the fall and winter months. It's been years since I've had a sinus infection.

Go to an urgent care and get the steroid shot. They’ll give you a script for antibiotics, just don’t fill it. The roids will kick start the process and then the water/neti pot can do the rest. I feel your pain, I get them chronically

I used to get a minimum of three sinus infections a year. Doctor I went to several years back suggested I use Fluticasone (Flonase) and zyrtec daily. I haven't had a sinus infection in probably 5 or 6 years now.

This. A thousand times, this. Exactly my situation, but I started Flonase about 10 years ago. Life changing.

Order the 2 oz. Sovereign Silver nasal spray off Amazon. It’s a colloidal silver spray that has antibacterial properties which kill all the bacteria in your nose. It currently costs $12 and you can use it multiple times a day with no issues. It has seriously saved me several trips to the ENT.

Also, ask your doctor about trying Singulair. It’s a prescription medication typically used for asthma, but in about 30% of people it works really well for allergies. Thankfully I was in that 30% and since using it, I went from multiple sinus infections a year to one every two years or so. It was life changing for me, so it might be worth a shot. (Keep in mind though that Singulair can worsen depression/anxiety symptoms so let your doctor know if those are an issue for you.) Hope that helps. Good luck.

If it's viral, which is most sinus infections, you just manage symptoms and wait. I once at a MRSA infection in my sinuses and it hurt like hell and they had to culture and see what antibiotics it would respond to.

I did a thread on this last week . Mine clears up in 48 hours after this. 2 cloves of garlic, half a ginger root, a bunch of honey in a blender. Drink it on an empty stomach in the morning and at night. Throw in some aloe if you have it but not necessary.

Are you a witch?

This. We run far too fast to antibiotics when we should be giving our bodies time to fight.

OP- I would also suggest cutting out all sugar and dairy.

I use the nasal flus bottle with the saline packets 2x a day when I have a sinus infection. And use a saline nose spray all day long as well.

Following this because I have the same problems. If you don’t mind me asking, how bad was the procedure and the recovery?

I was off of work for a week, but not bad at all. However, you'd be amazed at how much gauze can be stuffed up your nose. I don't know if anything has changed in the 16 years since I had this done. Dr. Virginia Bringaze at the Baton Rouge Clinic did my procedure.

Mucinex. Hot tea. Orange juice. Soup. water and most importantly Weed gummies.

Pho. Works good if your into that kind of thing.

Also you change your air filter? I always forget to do that around this time of year.

Neti pots are awesome. Just make sure you use distilled water or boil some for it. Don't want a deadly brain amoeba.

You don't want it to back up into your ears an damage your hearing.

Might want to reconsider your anti-antibiotics stance.

Just went to the ENT for this crap. Got antibiotics, but I’ll tell you everything else the doctor suggested. It does sound like yours is viral since it followed a cold.
Neil med sinus rinse twice daily. Flonase twice daily. Claritin. This should help get the inflammation under control, but will take time. Do these everyday not just when you have issues. If you need more help at night, get a humidifier. Even try breathe right strips. Other than that continue to treat your symptoms to get relief.
