You order at counter and they walk it to your table.
Normal 15-20% or 5-10%?

A buck or two if i get some good service. None of them are making under minimum wage.

If it's a pretty girl then I'll give her a lot of money. If she thinks I have a lot of money then she might have sex.

I'll tip a dollar if it's a cute girl, which a lot of the time it is.

By that logic a cute boy gets a 20 dollar bill from you? That seems excessive

I've decided I'm done tipping outside of your normal waiter/waitress interaction. Everything has a tip line now... unnecessary.

Went to a burger place -- one of those fast casual where you walk up, order and get your food -- and receipt had a line for a tip. I tipped a few bucks assuming they would bring the food to the table. 5 minutes later, they call my name to come get the food. Worthless.
Whereas a place like In and Out or Shake Shake just gives you a receipt and they call your name. No tip

Hate places that make you order at the counter but still tip at least 10%.

The OT is a bad place to get tipping advice. Not sure why so many tipping threads get started here

Seems like we need a Tipping Board.

0. I might leave a buck or 2 if I'm drunk and feeling generous

If they pour me a beer, I do the standard dollar same as a bartender. Otherwise I don't tip them. They aren't servers, they don't wait on you hand and foot, they are cashiers.

A buck if they give amazing greeting, smile, etc
Otherwise, none

Standard OT amount in these situations is to simply double the amount of the check.

I have one place where I like the kids where I put something in the jar when I have it
Even there I talked to one about usually not carrying cash and he said no sweat because they don't expect much
