Tipping etiquette question regarding a haircut

So the chick who has been cutting my hair for many years left the shop where she worked and is now cutting hair out of her house. Its actually a bit more convenient for me so I don't mind.
In the past I would pay the haircutting charges + 10$ tip.
Out of her house, she is charging the same amount as what the shop charged, cash.
So I gave her the money in cash, no tip. So that's $10 cheaper for me and a bit more convenient.
Should I be tipping her on top of the charge so I'm paying the same as I was before, or because what she is doing is now pure profit for her with no overhead, I don't need to tip anymore?

I used to get my hair cut by a friend that owned his shop. He once told me you don't tip the owner.

If they work for someone else tip them.
If they are the owner of the business no tip needed.

I honestly didn't know what to do the first time and felt bad about just giving her the money. It made sense to me that she wasn't getting any part of the money from the charges from the place, and now she's getting all of it and has no overhead or anything, so just pay what she asked for.

I have a real question.
I get me hair cut by the owner of the place I go to. And he charges more to cut than he charges for his girls to cut. Does he get a tip? I of course tip him, just wondering what the cheap fricks here would say.

She's not just an owner. Its at her house that she owns with her husband and kids. She's set up a little studio in the back but its not some big operation.
Zero overhead.

she is letting you come to her house quit being cheap and pay her the same you did in the past
