She knows what to charge and what she needs to make, especially if she opened her own shop at her own home. If she needed your $5.00 tip, she would now charge you $15.00.
My wife and MIL go to a lady who has her own shop, and she is by herself, no employees. She has always said no need to tip, I charge you what I need to charge you.
I tip at my barbershop, though, because they don't own the place.

And I am paying the same, I'm just not tipping. So instead of making 10$ she's making significantly more.

Its not THAT much more convenient I just don't need to go to the shop.
But if she wanted the $10 extra dollars, wouldn't she charge, let's say $40 instead of $30?
This is not the same as her being employee. This is a cash transaction at her house.
I obviously do not care about the money at all. I'm just curious as to what is appropriate and what others would do.
If she tells you the haircut is $30, what you normally pay, would you then pay her $40, or what she asked for?

Yes, it is at her house. I chat with her husband and she has two young twins and a giant dog. I don't mind all that, but there are things about going to a shop that are definitely better.
But I don't mind. I like her and she does a good job. She's been cutting my hair for about 6-7 years now.

I tip pretty well where I go, it’s a cheap thrill for me, the girls know me, know I tip well, and they make an effort to rub their bewbs all over my head as well as give me a little scalp massage before the cut, I notice they don’t do this for all of the other swinging dicks that go there
