I double my tab for the tip. Biggest bar tab I had was over $350 so my tab ended up being well over $700. That was at Good times bar in Denham. (Not even a strip joint).

That some stupid shite so it checks out that you somehow managed to spend $700 at a bar in Denham

If you made the bartender listen to your sob stories you definitely owe them.

As a former bartender, and bar owner and barfly let me say this. I always tipped my bartender a few bucks per order etc all night and thought that was way to do it. It is not.

If you want good service tip 5 10 20 bucks right up front then a little bit each order.

Or getting business over the long run for the employer. Bar I went to in New Orleans, gave me doubles for single price every time I went there. I had my own glass. Got to a point, I went there every day. Sometimes 1 drink sometimes more. When my family came to town, we’d go there for drinks.

My son has been working as a bartender since he was in college. He's 36 now.

He makes a ton of money. Most of it in cash.

Not married. No kids. Lives a minimalist lifestyle with no extravagances except eating dinner at nice restaurants. Gets a ton of arse.

He also bought one Bitcoin when it was $500. He keeps asking me if he should cash it in. I tell just let it ride until you are ready to retire.

Whenever we go out for dinner or play golf, he always pays my way even though I make a lot more money (on paper) than him.

If you were there a few hours at a table a $10 seems reasonable

$1 per drink at minimum for normal service. $2 if you make sure I always have one.
