St. George, Baton Rouge, Zachary, Baker, and Central will now come together to make a better EBR! I'm hopeful SWB will put people before party (and money)!

There's going to be a need for a conversation about it. Maybe even a committee to study it. After that, a coalition.

The Ginger Twins need some care.

One thinks we are in a city of racists. The other -- the much dumber and useless and crazier one -- thinks white flight happened.

LOL. WHITE FLIGHT? Where did we all go? And to HH, anyone not white is still welcome?

Of course Kibbles needs to clean out her facebook friends. Stupid immature counts who live their lives on FB and delete people based on beliefs...so America and its ideals just really do not exist in their minds.

Hey ginger twins... you can delete people and live your lives on FB all you want. We won.

It's in our Plan of Government.

One whole lobotomy might be overkill with those two.

Really it’s probably a great thing.

It usually takes drastic measures for change to occur.

The whiners are correct, north Baton Rouge is gonna be negatively affected from the lack of tax money into BR.

But this is where the positive comes from. If the city government doesn’t legitimately address the major issues in North BR that have been there for decades now, the area will crumble. So, it will become the elephant in the room and the city won’t have a choice but to finally say, ok i can’t take this anymore and fix the problem.

Also, now, there is no way to say stuff is racist because now BR is gonna be a crapload higher percentage of nonwhites so speaking on problems will be a normal conversation.

Gary Chambers and Silky Slim won’t be able to bitch as much but Atleast they can’t avoid actual issues

How the hell is the city going to “fix the problem” in NBR? Without private investment, nothing is going to happen there no matter how much $ the city pours in. Thinking a government can solve a problem is classic progressivism and will fail.

St George nothing.

BR losing all the money they took from the unicorporated areas to supplement their city.

They city of BR will tax the crap out of BR citizens versus layoffs. Mayor Doome and her cronies can spend more of their money recklessly.

Cats is such a great bus system most of the upper mgmt and board has Cats provided cars to get to work. Shouldn’t they have to ride the bus if it is sooo great?

All those whining about BR losing tax money never mention how much less infrastructure and people they have to take care of now that SG is standing on its own. I woke up this morning in my same house with the same Asian, black and Hispanic neighbors I've had here for years. When is the the white flight taking place?

Yeah. Those lawsuits which are going to accuse everyone voting for StG of being racists is really going to promote healing.
