I wonder how long it will take for the vegetation to regrow. Considering lava/magma creates land mass I’m assuming it has to be decently fertile?

This is probably a dumb question that I could probably find out in 10 seconds of googling, but once all of that lava stops flowing and cools off, what happens then? What does the clean up effort consist of?

That reminds me of the steamroller scene in Austin Powers.
I’m partial to the steamroller scene at the end of “A Fish Called Wanda”.

Couldn’t find a complete gif of it-

It's made into soap and sold to shade-tree mechanics.

I have to believe I would be pretty tempted to see how close I could get. A few beers and I would probably be out there poking it with a stick.
You can get pretty close to it and it moves very slow.

Just a chance you gotta take. We all get a can of spray paint. Solid mark closest to the lava wins. Gotta be an X.

I think it is really brittle. You can probably break it up pretty easy with a backhoe and small dozer.

Nah, that's what a repaved road in Louisiana looks like.

I don't understand this...why leave your car behind?

On the positive side, eons from now some civilization is going to unearth that Mustang and recognize we were fricking way, way ahead of whatever they've got going on
