o, Tiki Tubing should now clean up a natural waterway? And prevent natural acts of God too? Like flooding, too fast of a current, underwater debris, etc?
They should share some liability if/when someone pays them to use the river.

It is pretty trashy, and when I went I saw some people littering as well, and it pissed me off.
Yea I cant fathom just throwing trash into these rivers. Littering is a huge pet peeve of mine though

thats really what you got from that?
Im not specifically talking about myself. When I went, I wasnt the driver. Ill admit our driver had a few on the river. He wasnt drunk but he wasnt passing a BAC test either. I stayed relatively sober because I didnt really know the group we were with as a whole and I didnt want to be sloppy drunk on a strange river.
It isnt worth it for a number of reasons to me.
I always drink on the water but stop close to the bend and usually swim part of the way to sober up.
There is almost always a checkpoint, especially on busy days.
Our fear was always getting caught with the pot. Washington Parish is bad with that shite.

The other company at Bogue Chitto makes an effort to clean up. Why can't TT? Obviously you can't mitigate human stupidity but maybe they should be open at times where the water poses a real hazard.

you can go tubing in the river on your own...they just provide tubes and transportation

You are assinine.
You don't pay them to use the river. They don't OWN the river, dumbass.

Every time I've gone tubing (on Bogue Chitto), we have to pay the proprietors who provide us with tubes and the transportation, and the launching point. They don't own the river but they run a business on it. In fact I'm pretty sure you have to sign a waiver of liability on the BC.. so clearly in the minds of the owner, liability is a real issue.

Well like people said earlier, these people are making bank off of the river. They should put forth some effort to keep the waterway cleaner.

Its a fricking river. People would be fricking around in it, whether Tiki Tubing existed or not.
Not at that volume though. Not even close.

so they have zero responsibility to maintain something that they use for profit when they dont even have to pay for its use? and people wonder what the frick is wrong with society

I don't know if they have to but I wish they would. Other operations do. Then again, TT is run by a bunch of lazy trash.

No, what's wrong with society is people that are always looking for a business to sue when they injure themselves.

The dwi is very easily avoidable. Duh.
Getting hurt can happen sober.
Being fairly easily avoidable doesn't mean it can't happen.

nice backhanded comment. (i think)

Whats so funny about that? Its a huge risk and Im saying this because the cops know what youve been doing on the river when you leave. Its not like just randomly getting pulled over after having 3 beers at a restaurant. Same as the cops hanging out around the Bulldog on Wednesday nights.
Funny because that's basically what I was getting at in my first response...the potential for a DWI on the way home being a reason that tubing "isn't worth it." That can be said about any place you go where drinking is taking place. And shouldn't that be where cops watch for DWIs the most...at places where it's most likely to take place?

You idiot. No one pays them to use the river. They pay them to rent the tubes, to be transported on their bus, dropped off at an entry point and the use of their sandbar when they exit the river. Tiki tubing doesn't own the river.
I would only consider Tiki Tubing liable if a person drowned due to their tube going flat or being defective.

so you think they would be totally cool with me parking on the road and walking my own tube down for free? what about running and airboat up and down that stretch all day saturday and sunday? since it isnt their river i assume they wouldnt mind one bit right?
