Here's what ChatGPT had to say:

quote:

The OT (Off-Topic) Lounge on Tigerdroppings.com is essentially the site’s digital barroom—loud, fast-moving, and only loosely tethered to LSU sports.

Here’s what it’s like in practice:

Anything-goes content: Threads can be about politics, current events, memes, personal stories, workplace drama, food pics, conspiracy theories, or random shower thoughts. If it doesn’t fit neatly in a sports board, it ends up here.

Edgy, unfiltered tone: The Lounge is known for blunt language, dark humor, sarcasm, and frequent shitposting. It’s not unusual to see offensive jokes, flame wars, or deliberately provocative takes. Thick skin is basically required.

Strong personalities & in-jokes: Regular posters develop reputations, nicknames, and running jokes. There’s a lot of callback humor and lore that longtime users instantly recognize but newcomers may find confusing.

Politics-heavy (at times): While technically off-topic, politics often dominate—especially during election cycles or major news events—and discussions can get combative quickly.

Rapid-fire threads: Popular topics can rack up dozens of replies in minutes. Many threads devolve into side arguments, memes, or one-liners rather than staying on the original subject.

Moderation style: Moderation exists but is relatively hands-off compared to many modern forums. Threads may get locked or nuked, but a lot slides by that wouldn’t elsewhere.

Cultural vibe: It reflects a mix of Southern internet culture, LSU fandom spillover, military/blue-collar humor, and early-2000s message-board energy—very much not Reddit-polished.

In short:
The Tigerdroppings OT Lounge is chaotic, entertaining, frequently offensive, occasionally insightful, and completely unapologetic about what it is. People either love it for its rawness—or bounce off it immediately.

Pretty spot-on.

Meh. Let us know when Bing stumbles upon the Politics Board.

Wasn't that statement posted on the fb page of a local politician who didn't like replies she got from posters here?

Most of those developing AI seem to both hard code woke into as well as inundate it with woke date and reddit/bluesky or similar types of discussions to learn. If you challenge the summaries or responses with facts it reverses a little but only for that session then reverts again (at least the times I have decided to question very woke summaries on searches but usually go find the answer myself). Default state is woke for almost all of them.
