JBE is going to be paying particular attention to the numbers after Labor Day. If we see what we saw after memorial, it’s going to be bad- Talking no fans in stadium bad LSU is at the breaking point to which they shut down for at least a few weeks too. Kids are partying at peoples houses all around Baton Rouge and things are heating up.

The after Labor Day spike in NOLA was non existent in the hospitals. That’s exactly what will happen statewide. There should be no restrictions, people should wear masks if they feel like it, and if you’re sick stay home

I been saying this for a while

Got symptoms, check out for 10 days.
For LSU, if you get tested. don’t get tested in Baton Rouge .

So COVID doesn't spread when you're in the water? Why have they not been telling us this?

More cases yet fewer hospitalizations and ventilators.

This has been a scam since January

This will be done come November

I posted this in yesterday’s thread & didn’t get any replies, I’d like feedback to see if I am reading this correctly or not

Dates are the top are weekly nursing home reports
I convert the pdf to excel & auto-sum the columns

9410 residents
1176 other adult facilities
= 10, 586

217 are new in last week

5736 staff
153 are new in last week

I noticed the “other adult residential facilities” & the way I read those #’s are in addition to the report #’s

If that is correct then:

1906 residents deaths (from weekly report)
1341 deaths in other adult facilities
= 3247

3247 out of 4281 = 75.84% of deaths

1906 out of 4281 = 44.52% of deaths

There is no way that can be right

Considering 68% of Louisiana Covid deaths are above the age of 70 and the median age of death is 77...it is definitely possible that it’s correct.

Thank you for responding

I just wanted someone else to read it & see if they came to the same conclusion

I cannot wrap my head around 76% of deaths in nursing homes & adult residential facilities means shutting down the entire state

If this is correct JBE needs to be run out of the state

There is no reason to not separate these #’s from the general public #’s

Now this will really get you mad. So as of 8/31/20 we had 134,432 recovered cases. Subtract the deaths and you come up with 8,974 active cases in Louisiana. That comes out to 0.195% of the population with an active case. So we have destroyed our economy and continue to do so because 99.805% doesn't have an active case of Covid. A disease in which the fatality rate in Louisiana is as follows:

<18: 0.03%
18-29: 0.066%
30-39: 0.32%
40-49: 0.7%
50-59: 1.9%
60-69: 5%
70+: 18.7%

Seriously...those are easily verifiable stats. I do them daily because my Mom couldn't understand what it all meant at th onset of this.

I pulled it up and looked. Where did you get the 1,341 deaths from other adult facilities? I see 141 listed. I added up the deaths of residents and came up with 1,922. So from what I've found that would put the number at 2,063 deaths from nursing homes/LTACHs. We're sitting at 4,858 deaths at the moment. We were at 4,841 yesterday. So as of 9/2/20 the percentage would be 42.6% of covid deaths in Louisiana from nursing homes/LTACHs.

See above screenshot

ETA

It is 141 now, 1341 was a typo

I converted pdf to excel did auto-sum to get 1906
1906 + 141 = 2047
2047 of 4281 = 47.8%

2063 of 4281 = 48.18%

While it’s not 76% almost 50% is still unreal

Gotcha. You just got a little dyslexic then. 4,821 instead of 4,281.
