Money, status, and things don’t make you invincible but they are far from meaningless

Damnit thats horrible.

Most of the women in my life were once phi mu's. They're not going to enjoy finding out about this.

Local news shows the helicopter intact and floating inverted. What so you think caused this?

Cline’s younger daughter, Kameron, wrote on Facebook that she liked wakeboarding. She also wrote that she went to The Benjamin School, lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, and was from Beckley, West Virginia. She was a 2019 graduate of LSU and was in a sorority.

A lot of newer helicopters have airbags on the landing skids. I was told that they flip 80% of the time when they go down in open water, and the skids should basically be something to hold onto if SHTF and no liferaft is deployed. Once you hit the water, rolling in a helicopter is not a fun thing to do. I'd imagine only the pilots were trained how to deal with that situation

Must be sad to be so eaten up with hate you are bitching about Trump in a thread about 3 LSU girls who just died in a helicopter crash.

Your wannabe Zen Master “I’m more enlightened/smarter than everyone else” shite is wearing thin here.

You’re not and you’re not and you’re not.

You’re a boorish douche on your best day.

If money is truly meaningless, forward yours’ to me.

Had this been Barbra Streisand or Ted Danson who died, you’d be comatose with grief.

This is a terrible event. I’m sure it was a good helicopter and there was a separate pilot on board. Doesn’t sound like they were taking chances, from what little is reported. Just awful for these people and their families.

Seems like Cline was very connect to universities in WV. Just curious...anyone know how the daughter ended up at LSU?

Power loss. Auto rotate into the water. Helicopter flips. You are stunned and upside down in a confined, unfamiliar, water filled space in dim light.

Even if no one panics, it’s going to be iffy getting out.

IIRC, the offshore baws train for this, and they say it’s a bitch to get out of a flipped chopper in the water.

Production operators are required to take a water survival training course by OSHA. You get in a helicopter over a pool at a training facility, they flip it over and into the pool. You have to swim out.

Never done it but operators HATE it
