But unless there was something artificially propping up demand, I'm not sure how you describe it as a bubble. Millennials aren't going to stop eating out any time soon. We're quite fond of it.

I guess bubble might not be the correct phrase, but Nola def. had a ton of restaurants opening up over the last few years and it was looking like several were struggling bigly before this crap even started.
And part of the issue was the lease/rent has soared at the same time.

That's definitely an issue I've been seeing. From people I've spoken to, rents have become so expensive that it's nearly impossible to be successful at this point. You just can't work a high enough margin/volume to make the numbers worth your time and effort. Until entrepreneurs realize that math really does apply to their dream, landlords will continue charging crazy rents, knowing that the next idiot will simply replace the previous one.

I am screwed regardless. I own residential cleaning service. If all of my customers keep their jobs, I still can not get adequate supplies to clean their homes. I certainly do not have PPE, so I run the risk of infection. I have no idea how I will be able to return and make the same amount of money I did prior to the rona. I also did not get the SBA loan, applied and funds ran out. I think we are all in trouble no matter what, too many businesses affected by this, and we are nothing but tourism, service and retail, and oil and gas jobs here in Louisiana. All will take a hit.

People will start reopening business in defiance of local or state laws.

I’m not sure how they’re going to pull this off. Every business operates under some type of license from the government and when that is pulled the power can be disconnected. I’m all for them opening but I just don’t see how.

Got mine on Tuesday, had a job interview on Wednesday and a request for another job interview this week. I wasn't expecting to have any interviews much less two.

I’ve been against this for a while but it’s gotten out of control. There’s going to be a certain amount of risk and people are just going to have to keep practicing social distancing, wearing masks and washing their hands. I mean shite, most of the elderly are at home anyway.

It’s time to bite the bullet and get the show back on the road
