As someone who has had multiple vehs stolen I would harp on this piece hard. Especially with what I assume about a Harris Co TX jury.
After that first time you instantly come to accept your vehicle is never coming back, and that 911 call is just to get a Case# for your insurance company.

Well, the guy he shot won’t be stealing anybody else’s property that they worked hard to buy. That’s a fricking fact.

Don't care what the Law says, it's a great day when a thief dies during the commission of a crime, DGAF about the method of delivery.
Yes, "stuff" is more important than the life of a street thug.

Better yet hope they take your property and you learn what it’s like to lose to criminals because you think it’s ok and you are to weak to do anything about it

You steal, you can be legally unalived by the victim of the theft. Make that legal and you will have less useless eaters running around

He gets a year probation to think about what he did & how great it was. I hate thieves.

Folks in Louisiana now that we are a CC State had better truly, and thoroughly familiarize themselves with the use of deadly force. IMO this fellow (while I certainly sympathize with his emotions) who chased and fired his firearm at the perp did the absolute wrong thing. Those who disagree are welcome to do so. If you follow and view the outcome of this tragic event, you will understand what I am warining about.

It’s murder.
The car thief called down the thunder and he got it, so I have no sympathy for him. That doesn’t give this other jackass the right to go full John Wick through the street and endanger the lives of others.

Well, we're probably on the same side, but you're full of it.
It's been an OC state for at least 20 years, and CC with a permit for longer. OC when I turned 21, a long while ago. CC with an out of state permit, not long after, more than 2 decades ago.
Don't say stuff that is wrong, it will only be used against you soon.

They use to hang him high if you were a horse thief back in the day. Don’t know why this country went so soft and can’t even call a thief a thief in the media.

Am I being detained, or am I free to go?
For the laymen like myself, would you care to explain a suspect talking to LEO provides exculpatory evidence?
