I'm pretty sure it's neither of those. Its a man who was born a man and still has a penis but thinks its a woman. So genetically, physically, and in every identifiable way it is a man. But it believes that is should be a woman, so it can use the women's bathroom.

Call me a horrible human being, but I refuse to see it as a disease. Addiction can be a mental disorder, but trot that idea of someone unable to stop drinking alcohol in front of the cancer ward kids and see the reaction.

I know I'm 5 pages late but here are my thoughts: If the other women complained then it's not the manager denying access for no reason. Champagne could also use the women's room when it's empty with someone watching the door.
While I see the penis/men's room and vagina/women's room arguments, I don't know if the guys would be ok urinating while a man in a dress comes in to use the bathroom either.
Using an empty bathroom with someone watching the door (or with a locked door) iseems to be an easy way to solve this issue. Everyone is a victim now and no one wants to try to solve problems like adults anymore.
While I see the penis/men's room and vagina/women's room arguments, I don't know if the guys would be ok urinating while a man in a dress comes in to use the bathroom either.
