re: Thoughts on manmade climate change and whether it exists?

It exists, but is dwarfed by overall changes in the climate. If people were actually serious about this shite, they wouldn't fly private planes and would demand huge tariffs on China and India.

climate change is a bunch of BS
The climate has been in a constant state of change since the Earth was formed (regardless if you follow the Bible or the Big Bang theory). Anthropogenic impacts, IF any, are likely not measurable. Yeah yeah, I remember when the dinosaurs were wiped out by coal fired power plants, but still…
Biggest hoax since ethanol.

It's a huge scam.
The communists never died after 1991, they moved to the environmental movement (Sierra Club/Greenpeace). 30 years of brainwashing and indoctrination in government schools/MSM has gotten us to this point. It's their plan, a 'world wide' problem in need of a world wide solution, a world wide government (UN/WEF). It went from an idea of communism to fascism (global corporations and their millionaire board members got on board.)

Before COVID, I was pretty apathetic about this issue. But after listening to COVID pseudoscience, I now think that manmade climate change is a bunch of BS to scare people.
There's no significant manmade climate change.

1) I question if there is sufficient data to conclude man-made global warming exists. IOW, trying to use 150 years of (partial and inaccurate) data to draw conclusions for a planet that is thousands of years old is dubious.
2) But assuming #1 is so, who's to say it's a global negative? Maybe we need a warmer planet with more CO2 to sustain more trees.
3) Assuming there is global warming and it's bad, why should I trust 'them' to manage it? They recently torched an island in HI and killed a river in CA. And they're just getting warmed-up (pun intended).

We must ban plastic straws and expand lithium mining - it’s the only way to save ourselves…. Right?

Hoax
Climate patterns have always existed. Man is not responsible for everything that is being tied to it. Do we need to be responsible and mindful of our resources and surroundings? Of course.
We cannot spend our way to changing a damn thing. It’s a power play

It absolutely exists. To what extent and whether or not we can reverse it at this point are the main questions.
Posted on 6/12/24 at 6:55 pm to Tigerroar73
Even if it was real, India, Pakistan, and China are going balls to the wall on pollution and greenhouse gasses. We could live like cavemen and it wouldn’t hardly slow anything down.

1st off, such a strange thing to make up.
2nd, as pointed out by others often on the site, nights in the summer don't cool down as much. Credit to TulaneLSU for the graph below that shows a clear warming trend since about 2000. Man made or not, the trend cannot reasonably be denied. And it is very noticeable to anyone paying a little attention.

Al Gore showed up to my school to give a talk on global warming (before they strategically moved the goalposts and called it “climate change”). He and his goons arrived in a caravan of 4 black Suburbans. I knew it was all bullshite at that moment.
Any of you baws live in Florida?
Al said it wouldn’t be here 40 years ago. FL still going strong.
Maybe these people are on to something. But the hysteria and wild end of world predictions feels more like a religion.

I guess if you’re in HVAC, work for the Houston water service, or hate winter there is.

Every action has some impact on climate.
The hoax is that this is consequential.
