It's basically a 4 door Wrangler with actual cargo utility. I love it.

you can take the top off and take it with you...thats very appealing. i've had a 4 dr wrangler since they first came out and i'm very seriously considering trading in a 2012 for one of these.

Had been waiting for the Jeep truck for years but I learned long ago to NEVER buy the first year model of a new vehicle.

While this is typically true. I feel like calling this a first year brand new vehicle is a bit of stretch.

I drive a Wrangler but I'm not a fan of the Gladiator. The design seems off to me. They should have built this instead. Jeep Crew Chief.

Hard to argue with this. Traded in a '15 rubicon late last year. The crew chief is super tough

It’s alright, but if I need a truck of that size, I’d go with a Tacoma.

Has a 7,600lb towing capacity which isn't bad. It sounds like it's being positioned as an alternative to the Colorado/Tacoma/Ranger.

I agree. There is a lot of intentional carryover. The rear door have the wheel notch despite not needing it. If you need a new door you don’t have to find a specialized part.

Heard it can run 35s without a lift.

It has 33s stock, just like the Wrangler so I suspect you probably could.

That's exactly what they are shooting for.

Also, I feel bad for any fool that buys the new Ranger.

The Rubis have higher fenders which are designed to fit 35s stock.

People arent buying a Gladiator to be a mid-sized truck. People are getting it to be a Wrangler with cargo space. I don't have a Wrangler because I can't fit two car seats in the back while also fitting any gear or luggage. This solves that problem. You can trail ride and access backcountry campsites without an offroad trailer.

This jeep truck has 4 doors, you could put your dogs in the back seat.

Not if I need the backseat for a baby/child. I’m still trying for a family so I need to consider that.

I don’t think it’s hideous....I’m just not a truck person at all. I will never chose a truck as my own vehicle.

I’ve managed 25 years without having or needing a truck....I’ll be ok.

Ugly...but driving something that makes you think "Glad He Ate Her" every time you see it is worth something.

Not to mention it is stupid easy to get invoice +1% deals on them. That really should be your baseline on any Jeep purchase. Forums are your friend.
