I loaned a pair of ski pants and a jacket to a co-worker who went skiing for the first time over the holidays. He returns them with a fair amount of cat or dog hair on them. I wasn't really expecting them to be dry cleaned, but wtf?

Shitty move or not a big deal?

Shitty. At least he should clean them before returning.

It's a shitty move on their part, but also not really that big of a deal

Like I wouldn't cause a scene over it, but I also probably wouldn't loan them anything anymore

That's shitty. Should've been returned clean.

Also poor. He should have bought his own.

He just hasn't moved on to inspecting the underwear yet.

Shitty move... I wouldn't loan this person anything else in the future, it's pretty obvious they do not take care of other people's things.

Seems like cat/dog hair would not adhere very well to typical material that ski outerwear is made of. A simple wipedown with a damn rag should have taken most of that off. Seems like your friend is lazy and unappreciative and I can't imagine what his house looks like on the inside.

Ask him if he got tangled up with a Yeti while on the slopes. He’ll get the hint.

Loaning

Big mistake.

I don't loan anything to anyone unless I'm there to see how my stuff is treated.

I don't buy cheap stuff and I take care of my stuff.

Eta....downvoters can eat a dick. You probably already do.

Pretty lame on their part but nothing you should spend time worrying about.

Just factor it into whether you'll lend them stuff in the future.

A sticky lint roller is like $1.29.... Get over it, your coworker is a sloppy pet person.

What kind of poor co-workers do you work with, where they’re asking you to borrow ski clothes?

That’s hellah trashy.
