They need to do something with the roof of the Dome instead. Sometimes it looks like everyone in the city has gone up there and wiped their arse on it. When it's clean it looks great, but there are times that it looks pathetically dirty. It should never look like that. They need to try a new paint or something.
The place that did the roof in 2016 promised it would stay white, but they were obviously full of it or completely mistaken, so Dome attorneys advised against doing any work on it because of ongoing litigation with the company that guaranteed that it would stay white. Yeah, let the Dome look like the world's largest turd while we litigate.

They are suing the company that installed the roof. As it was supposed to not turn black. So they can't clean it until the suit is settled.

Yeah, I know, but that's a choice and it's one of the stupidest fricking things I've ever heard. I think pictures will do and some kind of sampling of the material they used. If not, oh well. Litigation can take forever.
It looks like dog shite and they can call in the whole city of New Orleans in to testify that they too have seen it look like dog shite. I mean, as a place that relies on tourism, I wouldn't let the thing that defines the New Orleans skyline look like the inside of a French Quarter port-o-let. We should be more subtle and not let the tourists know up front that New Orleans is basically like the inside of port-o-let in many aspects.

Not by much. I remember a picture from the last time the Superdome roof was replaced which showed a 5 gallon bucket full of slugs the workers collected.

That happened in Europe and was tragic. Europe requires a Tractel kit in all towers now. In the US we each carry a TSL kit. Unfortunately it took that event for this to be mandated.
