I am at a loss on this one.

So, the more of a circus you can make your cast, the easier chance you can win?

At least he’ll always know it was because he was a talented actor.

Starting in 2024, producers will be required to submit a summation of the race, gender, sexual orientation, and disability status of members of their movie’s cast and crew. If a particular movie does not have enough people of color or disabled people or gays or lesbians working on the set—and what is “enough” will be determined by a knotty tangle of byzantine formularies—then that movie will no longer be eligible for an Oscar.

So if I make a move in 2024, that stars a gay Native American Indian Chief, who is in love with an African American tranny, and a woman who is President of the United States, a plot about social justice and global warming, and hire The Who’s who of the LGBTIQHMLNOP in camera work, producing, make up, editing, sound mixers, etc. that regardless of the plot and box office returns the academy would be compelled to nominate it in several Oscar categories.

This will surely raise the quality of movies being released.

The FDA should work this way.
If a drug company found a cure for Alzheimer’s disease that drug can’t be approved unless that drug company has the appropriate number of gays, lesbians, transvestites, paranoid schizophrenics, paraplegics, quadriplegics, Native Americans, Blacks, pedophiles, foot fetishists, BLM members, Antifa members, Karens, sorrowful white privileged persons, foot washing apologists, pro reparations persons, AOC worshippers, Scientologists and flat Earthers.

Haven’t watched the Oscars since my family only had 3 channels, no remote control on our console TV and I was too lazy to get up to turn the knob.

Hopefully this won't impact future good movies. Luckily getting Oscar awards isn't what brings in the money.

This country is an absolute train wreck and one of the main reasons is the Oscars. Absolute fricking shite show is saying it nicely.

I quit watching after Shakespeare In Love won over Saving Private Ryan. That’s when the Oscars jumped the shark.

I held on a few years after this. I prefer “Saving Private Ryan”, but “Shakespeare in Love” is a great movie. I could understand why it won.

The movie that made me give up was “Crash”.

We laugh at this statement, but that is how the government does business. They not only go after businesses with the deepest pockets to peddle back into campaign funds, but they also have to grease the palms of special interest groups.

I saw this on display at a local council meeting where a parish was going to hire a company to handle the FEMA application process for the government. Both applicants had some level of minority involvement and one applicant had one of their minority leaders there at the meeting to introduce himself. In exchange they could get up to 10% of the grant money received.

To be fair, the OP doesn't say anything about only cast. Cast and crew. They don't have to put disable people on screen. Just have them hold a marker or something.
