Everything is cyclical...the white flight (which will be deemed racist) from the 50s and 60s is about to begin in earnest in a lot of progressive cities.
Though I also saw that certain cities like Palo Alto, despite being super woke, actually have zoning laws that prevent low income minorities from being able to live there (the vast majority of the town is zoned for single family homes, they tried to redistrict about one block for more dense condos/apts and it was blocked...because they didn't want the people they were so desperately trying to save moving into their neighborhood).

My father was a piss poor man when he was alive. Truly believed Democrats were better for poor people. I swear they could have came in his house, confiscated his TV, money and guns and still would have voted for them the next cycle

That's what they want poor people to believe, because that's how they gain power. But the part they fail to realize is that Democrats need them to STAY poor so that they, as Democrat politicians, can remain in office. If they "fix" being poor, they're no longer needed.
ETA: I thought we had it bad with our progressive DA here in Chicago, but holy shite this Boudin (cajun?) guy in SF is next level.
