It's Biden's America and we are just suffering in it.

I have never in my life seen a headline like this with America as the recipient. That’s something historians should investigate. When was the last time we needed to be airlifted goods?
What a humbling moment for us.
Agreed. But at least your mental health is better now though with OMB out of the WH and off Twitter.
Next time realize what you’re voting for, not just what you’re voting against.

You demanded this in your vote!
In fact, you demand that Trump be found guilty of a crime so he can't run (with the admission he did not do the crime) you just needed him found guilty.
You got what you asked for HHTM!

You voted for it. Trump broke your bitch arse

But this isn’t nearly that simple. Some women legitimately don’t produce enough milk, some babies have issues with tongue-tie and can’t latch, etc. The “Breast is best” movement has been big in the last few years so women who can definitely are doing it.
"some."
Millions of years of evolution, all of sudden we miraculously can't feed our offspring naturally? I don't think so.
If more would breastfeed, period, and others a little more, and if they'd all pump and store, it would make an impact. Just sayin'.
So many women just don't want to be bothered with any of it, there isn't a huge shortage of capability. It's a shortage of willingness.
Kudos to the moms that are out there pumping for the good of their children.
/May or may not have spent a long time in the infant/juvenile products business.

You voted for this, dude.
Given how pretty much everything "bad" trump did has been eventually revealed as a fabrication pushed by the media, its crazy you haven't admitted you were wrong yet.
Btw I voted for hillary in 2016 because i believed orange man bad. Then i watched his victory speech, and 5 minutes later CNN was on claiming he said shite he didn't say and that finally opened my eyes. I WAS WRONG. Its okay to admit it. He then proceeded to navigate syria and north korea and gave us 3 years of peace and plenty of which i was grateful. Then 5 minutes after hes gone its back to the shitter with a few whisks of biden's pen. It doesnt take a rocket science to see that voting for him was a huge fricking mistake.

How difficult is it for an Anglo American (no parents or grandparents with citizenship elsewhere) to move to western or Northern Europe? Asking for a friend

Is it a humbling moment for you intellectually? I hope you seriously reflect on whether your Biden vote was worth all of this. I don't blame everyday people who fall for the media's tricks as much as I blame people like YOU who are very engaged in politics and have had all of it laid before you and still chose to enable this administration.
fricking cowards.

We elected this government. Sane people dont run the country. We are only to blame. We need to put up or shut up soon

how many infant formula shortages did we have under Trump? I will hang up and listen

You realize that breast milk isn’t like a faucet right? You can’t just turn production on and off.
And yes, if more women pumped and stored the shortage may not be as bad, but it would still be bad

Cato, a right-of-center libertarian think tank, directly attributes some of the current crisis to the Trump-spearheaded USMCA trade agreement
Cato
quote:
Absurdly, provisions were added to the United States-?Mexico-?Canada Agreement (USMCA) to restrict imports of formula from Canada, supposedly because China was investing in a baby food plant in Ontario, and this new production might eventually enter the U.S. market (heaven forbid!). Thus, the provisions in the USMCA’s agriculture annex establish confusing and costly TRQs on Canadian exports of infant formula, and the United States imported no baby formula from Canada in 2021.

As embarrassing as forking out $40 billion the week before to Ukraine?
No, no. I was excoriated in the conflict thread for even suggesting we shouldn’t empty our coffers into that morally upright, squeaky clean Ukrainian regime.

totally understandable

I believe that low income folks are incentivized to use formula given they can use WIC for purchase + many low income folks dont have enough time to breastfeed giving they are more likely to use drugs and/or drink more often (have substance abuse issues). there also is a stigma in some social cultures that somewhat shame women from breast feeding (which is why the breast is best movement kinda started)
