The woman is such an idiot. I can’t believe they actually elected this fool.

The Precast show starts today in NOLA, one of the larger concrete shows in industry. Prayers for all the unsuspecting attendees.

I think that went over your head

I guess I'm just not in the loop much lately, but tourist and regular Joe's don't seem to be the ones being shot in Nola unless something has changed.

No...it didnt. I know what he's trying to say and he's not even close to being accurate.

It’s amazing to see the decline of places Bc of the trash that moved in after Katrina. E.G. Laplace/SJBP

They arent....nothing has changed.
the only thing that has changed is the thugs have moved their shenanigans out of the ghetto's and into the Quarter/CBD

See 1980's New York City and the eventual clean up (and recent reversal) for a blue print of what will happen in NOLA.
Something happened in NYC as the impetus for that cleanup that will never happen in Nola.
A Republican mayor was elected.

I mean, that's kind of a big deal for "tourists and regular Joe's" wouldn't you say, especially with regard to appealing to them to come start spending money here again?

They need to shut the entire French Quarter down for the time being, shut the strip clubs down, shut the cheesy bars and t-shirt/souvenir shops
These aren’t the problems.
You miss the entire point.

I think he meant tourist and regular joes arent the ones that are the victims in most of these crimes.
I could be wrong.

Agree, but attendees are getting info in their welcome packets about staying in groups in FQ and avoid real late hours.
Plenty of restaurant suggestions uptown, lakeview, and Jefferson Parish only a short Uber away.
The show didn’t have this PSA for Nashville, Indianapolis, San Diego, etc.

ok....if they shut it down and clean it up the criminal elements will not be attracted to the trashiness

Two years ago you had that nurse from CA(?) killed on Bourbon by a stray bullet. And you had that kid from Utah that was on a church trip get punched into a coma on Decatur.
100% the thug behavior is bleeding over into hurting Tax Payers. That's the only reason I care. Keep that shite in NOLA East and I don't care one bit.

I guess, but it just seemed like you were dismissing that current development as sort of no big deal here. That shite needs to be dealt with if the city really wants to see tourists pouring back in. I'm not sure who's going to do that at this point.
