So when we boo a player kneeling, because TO US, that represents disrespecting the flag and is a negative symbol, that is a valid critique to the athlete (even if they say it’s not disrespectful) because “things represent different things to different people” and we can apparently assign whatever we want to whatever we want and treat that thing accordingly?

It seems like she really isn't very happy about representing the U.S. No problem....her and others who feel the same should line up at the southern U.S. border and we can do an exchange.....one person gets in who want to be here, and one of them get to leave since they aren't happy about being associated.
