Zero trust society
Stereotypes exist for a reason
It’s why white people want to move far away from this type of behavior

We stopped leaving candy out when a teen on camera emptied the bowl into a backpack, then smashed the bowl to pieces.

People knock HOAs, often for good reason, but ours has done a good job of stopping outsiders from trick or treating.
We have tons of our own families with small kids and it’s great, a few years ago there had to be 10-15 van/busses full of people coming and it was not great.
“Blocked roads” this year for people without a resident tag on their car for 3 hours and put signs saying no non-resident trick or treating. Having guests over with kids is fine, but bussing in 20 teenagers with no connection to our neighborhood is ridiculous. Also safer without many vehicles on the road.

That look when you realize your parent is a POS. Thank God I never had to deal with that.

Go figure the kids went and grabbed the stuff and were giving it back and the fricking parent stopped them and told them not to.
So that’s 100% a parent issue and I feel bad for the kids. Even when confronted, the kids can’t even learn from it snd do the right thing because of the entitled parent.
“You shouldn’t have left it outside…”
And the cycle continues and those kids will raise their own the exact same way.

How else is she supposed to train the next generation of thieves?

In different suburbs around Little Rock, and maybe even Little Rock too that I didn't hear about, I saw several situations on ring cams in different cities where high school age kids were coming up with garbage bags clearing out bowls. These were all white kids I saw in good neighborhoods. One girl had taken her own small one out , left the porch light on , and came back to post that from her ring cam. She was highly pissed too. I'm sure it would warm her heart to see little kids come up and take a couple pieces while she was gone and only got an empty bowl. Imagine some high school loser eating that much candy.
