re: Thinking of moving away from the baseball cap

Guys here will give you a lot of shite about wearing anything other than a baseball cap. I am bald, and so I wear a hat a lot too. And it's mostly a baseball cap. But I see where you're coming from. Baseball caps are great, but there are times when you may want something different.


I have been wearing this hat a lot when it's cold and I'm hiking or kayak fishing:

Can you even buy a real fedora these days? All I see are those crappy trilbys.

If I’m wearing a hat, which unless it’s a weekend I usually don’t wear a hat, I’ll be wearing one of two types of hats..


This is what I wear most of the time.


I’ll wear this a good deal during the Spring & Summer.

FWIW, I’m 51.

If just wearing something for sun protection - lightweight fishing hat is ideal.

If cold, trapper hat or beanie.

Please have enough self dignity to not wear one of those cheesy arse newsies hats.

These all seem appropriate.
