Playing Smear the Queer... don't think that would go over too well on the playgrounds these days

When I was in elementary school, we had a vice principal named Mr. Jack. He was this old black man who always carried a paddle he called "purple rain". It was one he made. It was purple and he had something around the handle that gave him a better grip.

Bruh, I still remember the purple rain paddle. Had holes drilled in it for a faster swing too. I got it 3 times.

ETA: my answer to this thread was riding in the back of a truck. Back then it was a convenient way to get our whole baseball team to practice. Now it's considered life endangerment.

Our principal had a big confederate flag paddle. We went to the office to get the stars and bars tattooed on our asses

Kids riding in the back of a pickup.

We had a coach in middle school who would make kids who got in a fight put on boxing gloves and duke it out until they were gassed.

Did the paddle have holes drilled in it? The holes would always cut the wind resistance so when you got hit with it, it stung more.

ETA: NVM, just saw Fight4LSU's post.

If you put all your effort into it, you still couldn't make shittier threads with drawn out boring stories

It's already been mentioned but DUI is the first thing that comes to mind. Also, smoking used to be allowed everywhere.

Had a principal in elementary school who was a hard nosed, reserve deputy. Anytime there was a fight he would bring the 2 participants out to the flag pole(large concrete area) and allow them to finish the fight.

Pretty sure my second grade teacher was a she/male(man dressed like a woman)...which ironically would be celebrated and applauded today.

I had a 12 gauge - 870 express hanging in the back window of my truck all four years of high school.

In the yearbook we had segregated positions such as "White Homecoming Queen" and "Black Homecoming Queen".

Most boys dipped in class with a spit cup on their desk.

This. Guns in the back window of a truck parked in the high school parking lot.

Fireworks. My 13 yo son was firing off some bottle rockets at a 4th party this year and some lady got pretty upset with me about it. He was just shooting them, one at a time, out of a bottle. She would have had a coronary if she'd seen how my friends and I used to play with fireworks.
