Pickles

I actually like dills but any kind of sweet pickle/sweet relish is deplorable.

As a kid I loved the canned cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving. One night at church I ate a pickled beet thinking it was cranberry sauce...one of the worst memories of my childhood

I can’t do martini’s. I can drink barrel proof whiskey neat, but drinking a vodka martini makes me want to gag

I’ve tried to like them, maybe one day I’ll just force myself to get accustomed to the taste, but I haven’t been able to do it yet.

Apparently the band, The Eagles, based on how I got downvoted to smithereens after I posted the barf emoji in a recent thread here about them.

When my wife and I were early in our relationship she came to a family gathering with me and ate a pickle from a vegetable tray. She told me that something was wrong with the pickles, they must be “bad”. I tried one and it was just a sweet pickle, she had only had dill pickles before that day

I’ve been to Kuala Lumpur on several business trips, it’s a great melting pot of Asian cuisine. I gain five pounds every trip eating on the company’s dime. I love Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Filipino food. But Indian curry makes my stomach turn, I can’t be in the same room as curry.

Thanks for the response, that answers my curiosity. Funny enough, Malasia cuisine has a ton of Indian influence . So it is more specific to curry, not really Indian food, per se. There is a ton of Indian food that is really no different than those others, especially Chinese, Korean, and Filipino. Dumplings, noodle dishes, fried rice dishes. Same with something like Chicken 65 or Chili Chicken. You'd assume you were eating chinese food if you didn't know they were Indian dishes.

ETA: and I really just found it curious because it always seems what people think of as Indian cuisine in reality is just a very small portion of a very specific region of India. People can dislike whatever the hell they want to dislike, just always makes me curious when someone says an entire nationality of food, thanks for answering.

Cane's

Other than the customer service, which is great, I honestly don't get it.

I remember in high school and college everyone seemingly in love with Dave Matthews Band, as if they were some GOAT band.

Fish tacos

I thought they sounded nasty until I tried one. I love them

That’s my thing. It sounds weird putting fish in a taco. And usually if I'm somewhere that serves them, I’m ordering something I know I like, like a steak quesadilla for example, instead of experimenting with something I’ve never tried.

Not everyone, I guess, there is a small band of haters, but most people.

People, like me, who hate pickles ABSOLUTELY frickING HATE pickles. They ruin any food just by touching it.

I hate dill pickles...they are disgusting and makes everything they touch taste like pickles. And as much as I hate dill pickles, I don't even think there is a word for how much I hate those bread and butter pickles. I'm convinced that anyone that likes them has malfunctioning taste buds.

Crawfish. Juice ain't worth the squeeze. Stop subsidizing these "farmers" and snowball stand owners. Make em get a real job.

What sounds weird about it I guess? Is it fish being served with tortilla that weirds you out? Otherwise, a fish taco isn't prepared or served the same was as say a ground beef taco.
