But it's a damn good idea to learn how to drive one. It's one of those "rather have and not need" skills....

It's still not something that you really "should" know. If you know or want to know, great. Good for you, but there's pretty much always an alternative these days (at least in the US).

I’ve never met someone who didn’t know how to read a tape measure.

If you find a woman you can’t live without, you won’t be able to live with her either !

I think it makes them feel some sense of superiority.

Just get someone to teach you. You'll feel a lot more prepared.

1. Learn to be a business man from your dad. 2. Give the guy with a switchblade knife the $43 and live to fight another day.

But I do feel prepared just because of how unlikely it is that I would need to know it.

I don't think this one holds much weight any longer. I learned it a long time ago, forgot it, and have never, once, needed to use it.

There are a few technology-based ones that you should substitute that are 1,000 times more relevant:
1. Basic spreadsheet skills
2. Basic presentation skills
3. Basic web navigation/search

You're a moron and should not be giving any sort of financial advice. You're completely wrong on everything you've posted.

Yea I mean I know how to drive one, but how the frick are my kids gonna learn? They don't even make standards hardly anymore.

Why the frick would that be a skill someone needs to know?

Every man should understand basic moment forces, basic physics, basic calculus....waybmore useful than knowing how to drive a stick.

Honestly though every man should understand proper nutrition and how to lift weights properly and be able to perform a true all out 49 yard dash without pulling a hammer.
