While I'm generally in agreement, this Boomer from a po' background did have college loans; brand new vehicles were a lot cheaper relative to what we made, and vet bills were for either regular shots or puttin' ol' Yellar down. Now vets can do all sorts of things they couldn't back then, and it's expensive.

Things are so expensive now because most families have 2 incomes. If we put all the women back in the kitchen prices would necessarily go down.

The HOA one is Scruffy’s favorite.
Boomers didn’t pay HOA fees when they were starting out, but they sure as frick created the concept of the HOA once they “got theirs”.

OP acts like boomers played no role in raising their kids, who he is now complaining about. The lack of awareness is amazing.

"you did not have the technology"..............could be a fair statement when boomers started out,,,,,,,,,,,,,but boomers invented the technology..........
slide rules to personal computers
b/w tv to streaming services
party line tele to cell phone
pneumatic instrumentation to distributed control
1950's were the golden age of chemistry discoveries
cash only to debit cards
prop airplanes to 747
distributor ignition points to engine control modules

bullshite. Boomers were parents during the late 80s and 90s and paid for all of that except for Uber, streaming and apps.
