A Karen on our local FB neighborhood page posted that she called the cops on some kids popping fireworks last night because it was midnight. Put a pillow over your head or something and quit wasting our law enforcement resources in this crap and trying to make people miserable. I swear some people hate to see others having fun.

I just let the dog out to join in, she loves them. Not scared at all, just barks at the ones that don’t light up the sky. Then barks for them to start back up when there is a lull. Karen’s getting a double whammy in our hood.

Agreed. I never really shoot any fireworks and I'm not a fan of them either, but it's one day for 4th of July and one day for New Year's Eve/Day. Not a big deal, and OP needs to grow the frick up.

It's not about that all. Just as you have the right to pop fireworks (newsflash, you don't. It's against the law any other day of the year), people have the right to a peaceful night's rest. The truth of the matter is nobody has a "right" to anything in this world. We live in a society and the moment people start deciding other's rights don't matter is the moment shite gets real savage real quick. Respect your neighbors. They are letting you have fireworks two nights a year. Don't frick it up by needing to pop them before or after or shite can get medieval real fast.

Assume someone is annoying you by using fireworks around midnight or so. The solution is easy. Write a note saying how you really enjoyed the fireworks, tape it on their front door at 5 AM ring doorbell and knock real hard then leave. They disturbed your sleep and now you have disturbed their sleep.
